The Budapest Water Summit 2016 is organized by the Government of Hungary, under the patronage of János Áder, President of Hungary, in cooperation with the World Water Council. The Summit aims to promote water as source of cooperation, peace and development for all countries committed to sustainable development. From 28 to 30 November, participants will lay down their proposed solutions for the relevant international bodies by adopting the “Budapest Statement 2016”.
“The first Korean International Water Week will be an important enabler for our global efforts,” World Water Council Treasurer Guy Fradin said last week at the Opening Ceremony of Korea International Water Week in Daegu, Republic of Korea. He was speaking on behalf of Council President Benedito Braga, in the presence of Kang Hoin, Minister of Land Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea. “Many international processes are rising to the occasion to meet our water challenges,” Mr. Fradin continued.
