GOVERNANCE The World Water Council is a non-profit organisation known as "Association Loi 1901". The World Water Council is governed by its Constitution and By-Laws voted by its members through its General Assembly. The General Assembly meets every three years in ordinary meetings and as needed in extraordinary meetings. It elects and appoints a maximum of 35 members to the Board of Governors in accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws. The Board of Governors elects its President, who will appoint a Bureau composed of a Vice-President, a Treasurer, and other members. The Bureau is reponsible for reviewing the operations and decision making of the World Water Council while the Board of Governors approves them.
