Latin American countries gather around water issues

    The 2nd edition of the Latin America Water Week opened Monday 23 June. The event offers a platform to Latin American countries to build consensus on pressing issues facing the region. “Water is a highly political issue. Managing water requires making choices between constraints and opportunities shared among human welfare, economic growth and ecological protection,” said World Water Council President Benedito Braga during his Opening Address.
