The IWA Development Congress and Exhibition provides a unique opportunity to signpost best practices, applied research and enabling policies to meet the water and sanitation challenges of today and tomorrow in an increasingly urbanizing world. The learning outcomes from the 2nd IWA Development Congress and Exhibition in 2011 reaffirmed some our traditional understandings but also challenged conventional thinking about how we better prepare ourselves for an uncertain future.

The World Energy Council organizes a world congress every three years. This congress, the premier international multi-energy forum with exhibitors from the field, is an opportunity for participants to better understand energy issues and solutions from a global perspective.

The World Water Council is co-organizing the Budapest Water Summit together with the United Nations System. The Summit builds on Hungary’s achievements during its Presidency of the EU in 2011 and the selection of water as its top priority in the run up to and at the Rio+20 Conference on Sustainable Development in June 2012. To follow up the conclusions of the Conference Mr János Áder, the President of Hungary, announced in Rio de Janeiro Hungary’s intention to organize a major international water event.
