OFFICIAL VISIT TO MOROCCO BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE WORLD WATER COUNCIL
In view of the 9th World Water Forum which will open in Dakar on 22 March 2022, Loïc Fauchon, President of the World Water Council, went on an official trip to Morocco to meet the Head of the Moroccan Government, various Ministers and the Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water. They are all actively preparing Morocco's participation in this event.
A look back at the highlights of this trip:
- Loïc Fauchon meets the Moroccan Head of Government
Loïc Fauchon visited Morocco the first week of March 2021, where he met Mr. Saad Dine El Otmani, Head of Government and several high-ranking Ministers, to prepare the participation of Morocco at the 9th World Water Forum to be held in Dakar in March 2022.
They also talked about the preparation of the Grand Prix International Hassan II, one of the biggest awards at the Forum. The Moroccan authorities have reaffirmed their involvement and mobilization in favor of the development and preservation of water resources as well as their willingness to participate in the 9th World Water Forum.

- Working meeting with the Minister of Equipement, Transport, Logistics and Water
Following this first meeting, Loïc Fauchon, accompanied by World Water Council staff, took part in a working meeting with Abdelkader Amara, Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water and his teams, on 26 March 2021.
The objective was to prepare the active participation of Morocco in the 9th World Water Forum in Dakar.
